The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

Hey there Everyone! How's it going?

As you can see, I've been pretty busy!! (despite the lack of updates Lol)



Summer is almost over! It's gone by soo quickly, I can hardly even believe it! O_O

If you guys have been keeping up with me, my last entry said that I was in a really bad car accident! But I'm really happy to say that I've been getting much much better with the therapy I've been going to (4 times) every week! In three weeks I should be back to normal practically! Which is really good, since school starts on the 24th for me -- AND I move on the 20th to my new apartment.



A few things have happened since last entry too!

I have discovered this wonderful game called  Eternal Sonata
This game is AMAZING. The characters are so sweet, and the designs are incredible. I'm happy to say that this has gone to my "will cosplay or die" list for the upcoming two years. (I'll be polka, and my bo will be allegretto -- *___* kukukuku)

The Vocaloids have come back into my life
Hence the title: The World Is Mine -- by Hatsune Miku *_* SO GOOD.
You can see the video I've been watching in my desktop picture. XD

A friend of mine and myself will be learning some of the para dances -- I'll be cosplaying as Miku (I'm too busty to be her counterpart of Rin) and she'll be len. Her friend Megan will be Rin, and if I can convince him, My matt will be Kaito! (can anyone say Miku x Kaito whut whut? ;DDD)

I've closed Alice Doll DecoDen until further notice
With school coming up, and all of my new projects and aspirations, I really didn't think it was fair to have the shop open. I might open it back up after school starts and I'm finished with getting ready for AWA and the other cons on my list. But for now, it's being closed down. ;-; I simply can't handle the stress of everything together. But no fear! It'll be back eventually lol.



There's still so much to do for the upcoming con! ;_; Thanks to the last poll, I was able to get a lot of ideas as to what people want to see! >_< Now, more than ever, I'm super super super busy!!! (and not a lot of funds to do anything now either ;_; gotta wait for school money to start up!)



Only two months away! When I get the seating chart I'll post up here! :D I hope to see you all there!!

Oh! And if you get a chance, vote and comment on the vocaloid poll! I'm curious to who you all like! ;D Maybe the most votes will get a new print or something XD

I wish. D: I was stuck in a stage of nostalgia for so long that I spent all my money on childhood PS2 games right before I discovered Eternal Sonata. So now I can't but an Xbox or a PS3. =____=;
Costume changes for PS3? :la: I might switch to saving up for that instead.
